Last night among Lisette's things I found a photograph of two people in a gondola--a souvenir-type photo with "Venezia 1907" printed at the edge. On the back is written (in French) "best wishes from your Aunt Charlotte and your Uncle Henri".
I know from his letters that Charlotte is Albert's mother; he has never mentioned his father by name that I can see. I suppose now that the inference from this photograph is that Henri is Charlotte's husband, and presumably Albert's father. Which leaves open the question of Louis' father!

After a long and painful suffering, fortified with the comfort of the holy religion, in his 78th year, on Friday 22nd May at 8 o’clock fell asleep in the blessed Lord.
The earthly remains of the dear departed will lie in state in the Chapel of Rest Number 3, Reisnerstrasse 25, and on Monday 25th May, at 2.30, will be conveyed the church of St. Sebastian and St. Rochas (III, Landstrasse Hauptstrasse) for a consecration celebration and will then be transferred to Trieste and there, in the cemetery of St. Anna, in the Margutti family grave, will be laid in eternal rest.
The holy masses for the soul of the departed will be said/read on Tuesday 26th May 1914 in the Church of St. Rochas at 10 o’clock.
